The Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum, located at Creve Coeur Airport, is a museum dedicated to restoring and preserving historical aircrafts. The airplanes in the collection are all fabric-covered, and many are biplanes from the ”Golden Age of Flight,” the period between World War I and World War II.
The Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum’s volunteers help maintain most of these aircrafts in full working order. The museum itself hosts one of the largest collections of flying classic aircrafts in America, currently housing a total of 49 planes! The airplanes are distributed and displayed in four different hangars, and the museum is always eager for more antique aircraft, especially those that were built in Missouri.

Want to take to the skies?
Take a ride through history with an aircraft ride. Several of the preserved aircraft are the only surviving airworthy examples of their type. Aircraft rides are available at the museum by request, in either a Stearman WWII biplane Trainer or in a North American SNJ-5.
The Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum is open regularly to the public for tours on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm. Conducted tours can also be arranged by appointment.
